Tennessee Vols teammates have a hilarious exchange while battling each other in College Football 25

The vast majority of gamers, perhaps 99.9% of those playing College Football 25, will never know what it's like to see their name, image, and likeness on the screen while playing a video game.  That's something that, at least to this writer, seems like a surreal experience.

Two Tennessee Volunteers turned that experience into a highly amusing moment recently.

Kaleb Webb and Nico Iamaleava went head-to-head on the popular video game, and they did it both playing as their Volunteers.  Naturally, that meant that both offensive players were going to be using Iamaleava while also trying to knock him to the ground.  The results - often involving star teammate James Pearce, Jr. - provided for some funny moments.

"Are we really doing that the whole game," Webb quipped about Iamaleavea coming at him with Pearce, Jr.

"What are you talking about the whole game?  I can't rush with James Pearce?  The best player in the game!" responded Iamaleava ( he's literally correct, by the way ).

After Webb got blasted again (ironically the video game version of Iamaleava getting blasted by a player controlled by the real Iamaleava), he responded in an amusing and frustrating way.

"Bro, like, James is unblockable in this, bro.  Oh my God.  This is crazy, bro," muttered Webb while Iamaleava laughed.  Webb was sacked two more times in quick succession - once by Pearce, Jr. - to end the video clip.

One has to appreciate where things have come - at least with collegiate athletes and the popular EA Sports video game.  From lawsuits and seeing the game be shut down over a decade ago to seeing players engage in some playful banter on social media.

Fortunately, back in the world of real-life football, Pearce, Jr. will be trying to wreck opposing quarterbacks this fall, while Iamaleava and Webb look to return Tennessee's offense closer to the form it had during an 11-win 2022 season.
