    Missing Knoxville teen with autism found safe

    3:30 P.M. (UPDATE) — The Knoxville Police Department announced that 14-year-old Dakota Johnson has been found safe.


    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Knoxville Police officers are searching for a 14-year-old who was reported missing Tuesday afternoon.

    Dakota Johnson, who is autistic, was reported missing around 1:40 p.m. after he left the Big Oak Apartments on Middlebrook Pike. He was last seen walking west on Middlebrook.

    He was wearing blue jeans and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt with New Balance shoes and a brown backpack.

    The public is asked to call 911 if he is seen.
