Former Tennessee Vols running back Jaylen Wright earned a strong endorsement from one of his Miami Dolphins teammates this past week.

Wright, a fourth round selection by the Dolphins in the 2024 NFL Draft, was praised by Miami running back De'Von Achane for the way he's performed during training camp.

“I told him he’s doing better than I was last year as far as camp wise, picking up stuff pretty fast,” said Achane. “He’s learning and he’s a quick learner. See me last year, it was kind of hard for me during this part of camp. It got easier for me as I got to the season, but I’ve already told him, ‘Man, you’re a quick learner.’"

“Last year I was struggling, I was stressing coming to practice, just not knowing," added Achane. "So I feel like he (Wright) knows what he’s doing so he can go in there and he can play and feel like he’s in college still. He can go in there and play fast.”

Achane's comments are noteworthy since he's expected to be ahead of Wright on Miami's depth chart this fall.

Wright should see plenty of action as a rookie in 2024. He's a great fit in Mike McDaniel's offense, which places a premium on speed (and Tennessee fans know that Wright has plenty of speed).
