    Man dies after getting struck by train in Fayetteville

    FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Fayetteville Police Department is actively investigating a train death that happened after 4 a.m. near Frisco Avenue.

    The FPD received a call from a conductor with the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad train that they believed they hit something. Police said the conductor tried to stop but couldn’t. Once the train hit a full stop the conductor found a man in his 20s dead.

    Police are working to notify the next of kin.

    The incident happened on private property. The body was taken to the Washington County Coroner.
