    Cherokee Co. Health Dept. hosts KanCare sign-up event

    KanCare sign-ups take place in Galena, KS

    GALENA, Kan. (KOAM) -- The Cherokee County Health Department helped out individuals with KanCare questions Monday afternoon.

    The event took place at the Galena City Hall.

    The department helped individuals applying for KanCare benefits for Medicaid presumptive eligibility.

    The Cherokee County My Family program was also on hand to answer any questions about resources for families.

    The department plans to host another sign-up event at Galena City Hall on May 20, 2024 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
