JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) - Cecil Floyd Bike Bus celebrated National Bike to School Day by achieving an impressive milestone: collectively biking over 2,000 miles to school as a group this academic year.

Riders gathered at S Kingsdale at 7:15 AM, with supporters joining in or cheering near the school.

Friends and family of the riders brought cowbells and signs, adding to the festive spirit.

Students received medals for their accomplishments, and plans are underway to expand the initiative to Junior High next year.
