Organized Crime Task Force seizes over 9K marijuana plants in Seminole

(KOAM) - The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force recently seized and eradicated more than 9,000 marijuana plants and 456 pounds of illegal marijuana in Seminole.

According to police, the operation followed a July 25 inspection by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and Oklahoma LP Gas, which uncovered multiple violations and a large quantity of unlawful marijuana at a grow facility.

On August 1, the task force, assisted by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, Seminole Police Department, and National Guard Counter-Drug Unit, executed a search warrant and seized the illegal drugs.

Attorney General Gentner Drummond praised the collaborative effort, stating, "We will not rest until we’ve put an end to the scourge of illegal marijuana in Oklahoma."
