14 Year Old Morristown Girl Missing Since Last Week
Investigators are currently searching for 14-year-old Lurvin-Danelia Galeas Brizuela (see attached photo) who was reported missing by her parents on Wednesday. She was last seen at approximately 10:00 am on that date. Family believes she may be in the company of 21-year-old Esteban Ranganal who has a distinctive tattoo on his left forearm (see photo below).
Nashville and Middle Tennessee Under Heat Advisory as Temperatures Soar to 109 Degrees
The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Heat Advisory that remains in effect for a significant portion of Middle Tennessee as of 1:44 AM CDT, Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Scorching temperatures combined with stifling humidity are forecasted to create heat index values climbing up to 109 degrees. Private and public spaces are expected to become temporary sanctuaries from the relentless heat, offering a reprieve with their air-conditioned confines.
Next Round of Street Paving to Begin in Early August
KNOXVILLE - Contractor crews in the first half of summer paved 14.7 miles of City streets in the 1st, 2nd and 6th City Council districts (South, West and East Knoxville). Between now and late fall, Rogers Group crews will be milling and paving another 18 miles in the 3rd, 4th and 5thdistricts (Northwest and North Knoxville), plus parts of the 2nd District that are being completed.
Tennessee Smokies announce first schedule for downtown Knoxville stadium
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Smokies will hit the plate in Knoxville’s new downtown multi-use stadium next year, and now we know when the first pitch will be. Opening day is slated for Tuesday, April 15. The Smokies will begin their season on the road against the Birmingham Barons on Friday, April 4, then head to Huntsville for a series against the Rocket City Trash Pandas before making the trip back home.
