Metro Nashville wins lawsuit against Tennessee challenging council size
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The size of Metro Council will not be reduced after the Nashville government won a lawsuit against the State of Tennessee. In 2023, the Tennessee General Assembly passed a law capping the number of Metro Council to 20 members, cutting the body in half. That law was then signed into law by Governor Bill Lee on March 9, 2023.

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — A woman was rescued by the Pigeon Forge Police Department and the Pigeon Forge Fire Department after a tree fell onto a camper, according to police. At around 9:38 p.m., PFPD and PFFD responded to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts on reports of a tree falling on a camper.
