    Power restored after Portland outage affected five zip codes

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – Power was restored Wednesday after nearly 11,000 Pacific Power customers in five Portland zip codes experienced an outage that afternoon.

    In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter , Pacific Power said, “We are aware of an outage affecting 10,841 customers in Portland” around 1 p.m. Power returned to the area by 2:51 p.m.

    Sewage overflows Northeast Portland street, into three basements

    The affected customers were mostly located in the Montavilla neighborhood, reaching the zip codes 97213, 97215, 97216, 97230, and 97220, according to the company’s outage map .

    Officials attributed the cause of the outage to due to a RV fire near a Portland General Electric transmission line that leads to their substation.

    “We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience,” the company said.
