    Sheriff’s office recovers body of woman who fell from boat into Willamette River in Clackamas County

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve recovered the body of a woman in the Willamette River after she went missing following a fall from a boat last weekend.

    The body of Beaverton resident Courtlyn Elizabeth Fricker, 34, was recovered from the Willamette River near the Canby Ferry on Friday, Sept. 6, at about 4:30 p.m., authorities said.

    The place where Fricker’s body was recovered was about a half-mile downstream from where she originally went missing, on Sunday, Sept. 1, after she reportedly fell from a boat and never resurfaced near Molalla River State Park.

    The search continued for days , involving multiple agencies. Authorities released her identity for the first time on Saturday.

    The Clackamas Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Canby Fire District, Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
