    Naturalization ceremony for new citizens to be held at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield

    REPUBLIC, Mo. — The U.S District Court for the Western District of Missouri will naturalize 32 citizens on Thursday, May 2.

    The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield in Republic. The applicants represent 24 countries including Burma, Honduras, Morocco and Uganda.

    The National Anthem and America the Beautiful will be performed by Alex Smith from the Missouri State University Music Department.

    Several community organizations and agencies will also participate to help welcome the new United States citizens.
