SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man was found guilty of multiple charges resulting in a 15-year sentence in prison.

According to a press release from Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Patterson, Michael Scott Mount, 43, was sentenced to 15 concurrent years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for charges of trafficking in stolen identities, stealing, forgery, identity theft, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and assault.

Patterson said Judge Katie Greenwade heard from the assistant prosecutor regarding Mounts’ extensive criminal history, the effect of his crimes on the community, and the number of individuals who have been victimized by the defendant resulted in the sentencing of the five felonies and two misdemeanors.
