SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Diaper Bank of the Ozarks is in urgent need of diapers for the community.

The program, which is part of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks, says it only has a three-week supply of diapers — specifically in sizes five and six.

The director tells Ozarksfirst they supply about 30,000 diapers to local families every week and 1.5 million diapers every year, with about half of those in sizes five and six. Local volunteers re-package thousands of diapers every day and then are sent out to other facilities to meet mothers where they are.

Anyone who can is asked to donate diapers in those sizes and drop them off at the warehouse at 3055 E. Division St. on the west side of the building. They are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
