SELMER, Tenn. — First responders worked a disturbing scene in Selmer Wednesday morning. A truck hauling a load of pigs could be seen flipped on its side near the intersection of Highway 64 and Mulberry Avenue. The incident drew a response from both the Selmer Fire and Police departments.
Center Hill Lake To Host Wakeboarding Event
Center Hill Lake will play host to a wakeboarding competition that brings some of the nation’s best to the Upper Cumberland this weekend. The water sport features riders towed by a motorboat across its wake allowing the rider to perform aerial maneuvers. Assisted living facility site moves to Gluckstadt after withdrawing Livingston proposal
The Oaks, an assisted living facility initially intended for Livingston, will now begin construction in Gluckstadt following unanimous approval from the Board of Aldermen. Husband and wife duo Chad and Crystal Phillips are the developers behind The Oaks. Chad, a charge nurse and native of Madison, said he and Crystal, a real estate agent, wanted to contribute much-needed support for seniors and disabled individuals in Madison County.
