    3.4 magnitude earthquake strikes in Santa Clara County

    (KRON) — A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck in Santa Clara County on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

    The epicenter of the earthquake is between Jumpoff Creek and East Fork Coyote Creek, in the east part of Santa Clara County. It is about 15.5 miles northeast of Morgan Hill.

    The quake happened at 6:00 p.m. precisely. The depth of the earthquake was reported to be 7.3 kilometers, per the USGS.

    There have been no reports of damage thus far.
