OAKLAND, Calif. ( KRON ) — New details have come out about a deadly shooting that happened in Oakland one week ago . Police have confirmed a 33-year-old woman was killed.

Neighbors say family members of the victim — identified by Oakland PD as Maria Ramos — have placed these flowers, candles and balloons where she was killed. Several people tell KRON4 they are shaken by this shooting as Ramos was a mother and it happened in the middle of the day.

A memorial continues to grow on Hilton Street in Oakland where a mother was shot and killed on Aug. 7.

Police say they responded to the shooting around 2:30 p.m. and found Ramos with a gunshot wound. She died at the scene.

A neighbor, Petros, lives near the scene of the shooting. He says he was working from home when shots rang out, and he saw the aftermath.

Police say multiple people have been taken into custody in connection to the shooting. Neighbors say police got security video from nearby homes.
