Man arrested as police investigate Gilroy suspicious death

( KRON ) — A man was arrested on Thursday while police were executing a search warrant in connection to the suspicious death of a woman earlier this month, the Gilroy Police Department said. Officers had initially responded to a home on the 7600 block of Rea Street on Aug. 6 for a death investigation involving a woman.

On Thursday, the Gilroy/Morgan Hill SWAT team followed up by executing a high-risk search warrant at the same home to collect additional information and evidence. During that operation, Gilroy PD arrested a man for an unrelated warrant.

Police say the suspicious death investigation remains active and ongoing.
