ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department held another “Operation Cooldown” on Saturday at four parks.

The community could take part in the event at Redlands Park, Loma del Norte Park, Singing Arrow Park, or Dennis Chaves Park.

Kids and their families could cool off in the sprinklers as the outdoor pool season is winding down.

The city’s pools have already switched over to fall and winter hours. The Eisenhower, Sierra Vista, Wilson, and Rio Grande pools are open on weekends until Labor Day.

All splashpads except for North Domingo Baca are closed for the season.
