    Navajo Tech students work alongside Los Alamos National Lab scientists

    NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A new semester means more opportunities for STEM learning across New Mexico. A new fellowship at Navajo Technical University is giving students to work alongside Los Alamos National Laboratory scientists on how hydrogen fuel cells work. “Here at Navajo Tech, there are seven of us that are currently working with Los Alamos and each of us plays a different part in the project,” said Jonathan Chinana, NTU student.

    Those fuel cells convert hydrogen into electricity through a chemical process. The most recent project involved research methods that would improve the lifespan of fuel cells for an even more sustainable future.
