Walnut Grove's breakout year halted in regional semifinals by top-ranked Forney
PLANO—For any momentum the Prosper Walnut Grove softball team conjured in Friday's 7-1 Game 1 victory over Forney to begin their regional semifinal series, the challenge came in building off of it on Saturday against a Lady Rabbits squad plenty comfortable in playing with a sense of urgency. The Lady Bearcats pounded 13 hits and limited the Lady Tigers to just one hit in a 17-0 rout last Wednesday in a Class 3A region quarterfinal softball contest at Whitesboro High School. The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
