A 72-year-old woman died Saturday night in a crash in Lenexa.

The crash involved two vehicles — a Subaru WRX and a Nissan Altima.

Police said the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 15200 block of College Boulevard.

Officers determined both vehicles were traveling east on College when the Subaru rear-ended the Nissan. Both vehicles then left the roadway.

A Johnson County MED-ACT spokesperson said their ambulances were initially dispatched to the scene.

The 72-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 74-year-old male and a 31-year-old male were also injured in the crash. Their injuries weren’t immediately considered life-threatening.

Police said the Subaru driver was discharged from the hospital Saturday night and taken into custody on "suspicion of driving under the influence."

Investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
