Pet Project: Sweets looking for family as energetic as she is

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Kansas Humane Society’s Director of Communications Jordan Bani-Younes brought in Sweets, a dog, to KSN’s Pet Project on Thursday afternoon. She weighs 57 pounds and is 2 years old.

Bani-Younes says Sweets has a lot of energy.

“We’d recommend a family that can keep up with her,” said Bani-Younes.

He says she lives up to her name and is sweet.

“She loves belly rubs, just incredibly sweet,” said Bani-Younes. “But yeah, she is just a great girl.”

Furry Film Friday is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. this Friday at the KHS, 3313 N. Hillside St. Parents can drop their kids in grades 1 through 5 off to watch Zootopia and eat pizza and popcorn with some of the furry friends at the KHS. Click here to register and for more details.

Read to Rover is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the KHS, 3313 N. Hillside St. Children in grades 1 through 5 can read to therapy dogs with Love On A Leash in half-hour increments.

“Reading to a dog is typically less stressful for the child and a whole lot more fun!” said the KHS.
