NORTHEAST KANSAS ( KSNT ) – With fall sports on the horizon, K-Nation returns for the start of its third season on air.

The K-Nation team takes a deep dive into Wildcat and Jayhawk football. KU’s offense is working around a healthy Jalon Daniels, while K-State’s offense is making a point to play off Avery Johnson’s versatility.

KU head football coach Lance Leipold made a stop in Topeka at the Topeka Jayhawk Club’s picnic to preview the 2024 season in front of loyal fans. K-State head football coach Chris Klieman joined K-Nation’s Glenn Kinley in a one-on-one interview to discuss his sixth year with the Wildcats, player development and his sophomore quarterback.

College women’s soccer season is officially underway, and KU soccer is on a 2-0 hot streak so far in their first season under head coach Nate Lie. K-State soccer lost their season opener at Nevada 2-1.

Both K-Nation schools were well represented at the 2024 Paris Olympic games, with gold medals from new K-State assistant track coach and former Wildcat Eugene Omalla headlining the action. Omalla shares his story competing for the Netherlands on the show. KU’s Bryce Hoppel and Sharon Lokedi both clocked personal bests, but fell just moments shy of the podium in their respective events.

Voice of the Jayhawks and Topeka native Brian Hanni joins K-Nation’s Landon Reinhardt in-studio. Hanni talks all things KU football ahead of the Jayhawks 2024 campaign, the pros and cons of playing their home games in Kansas City and his biggest question mark for this year’s team.
