    Robinson Middle School students return after possible gas leak evacuation

    Update 11:45 a.m.: Robinson Middle School confirmed to 27 News that the Topeka Fire Department cleared the scene and students returned to class around 9:30 a.m.

    TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – The Topeka Fire Department is at Robinson Middle School to investigate a possible gas leak.

    Around 8:50 a.m. the Topeka Fire Department was called to Robinson Middle School at 1125 SW 14th St. to investigate a possible gas leak.

    Marshall demands answers for overestimated job numbers

    The following letter was sent to families:

    “Dear Robinson Parents,

    As a result of an unusual smell in the cafeteria, students and staff have relocated temporarily to their gymnasium across the street at the community center out of an abundance of caution. Once the building is inspected, staff and students will re-enter. Thank you for your understanding as we act out of an abundance of caution in support of the safety of staff and students.”

    USD 501 letter sent to parents.
