1 person killed, 3 hurt in crash along NM 28 in Doña Ana County

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — One person was killed and three people injured in a crash Saturday afternoon, Aug. 17 that closed part of New Mexico Highway 28 for several hours.

Doña Ana County Sheriff Kim Stewart confirmed that one person was killed and three people were hurt and transported with unknown injuries in a crash involving two SUVs.

The crash happened along NM 28, which is the scenic backway between El Paso and Las Cruces, at Milepost 24 or Snow Road. The highway was closed for several hours before reopening shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday.
