EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The Las Cruces International Film Festival will host its first concert this fall ahead of the 2025 film festival.

Los Lonely Boys, known for their “Texican rock ’n’ roll” style, will headline the concert.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Grapevine Plaza & Event Center, 3900 W. Picacho Ave., in Las Cruces. Food and drinks will be available. Tickets start at $65 for general admission if purchased in advance or $80 at the door.

“It has long been the goal of the Las Cruces International Film festival to expand into music,” said Ross Marks, New Mexico State University professor and LCIFF executive director. “Many great festivals offer music as part of their experience. We are extremely excited to partner with the Grapevine Plaza & Event Center and Los Lonely Boys for our first-ever concert.”

VIP tickets are available for $150 per ticket, or $1,000 for a private table of eight. VIP tables will be located at the front of the stage and will have a drink server. VIP ticket holders also will have a private reception before the concert.

Los Lonely Boys are known for their “Texican rock ’n’ roll,” which combines elements of rock and roll, Texas blues, “brown-eyed” soul, country and Tejano music.

Over the past nine years, LCIFF audiences have grown from about 2,000 in its first year to more than 12,000 this year. Since its start, the festival has brought in 1,500 filmmakers and about 80,000 visitors to Las Cruces, according to film festival organizers.

In that time, Marks has trained more than 700 students to produce the festival from start to finish through NMSU’s Creative Media Institute, according to the news release.

The 10 th annual festival is set for April 9-13, 2025.

Proceeds from the Los Lonely Boys concert will benefit the film festival and Barbara Hubbard’s ACTS student scholarship program at NMSU.

“Los Lonely Boys are an iconic and soulful band,” Marks said. “Their music has touched people around the world. Their sound particularly resonates with the people of Las Cruces. They are the perfect performers for our first music concert. It is a thrill the Las Cruces International Film Festival can have Los Lonely Boys come to our beloved town and share their music. We are beyond ecstatic to have them as the beginning of the celebration of our 10th year of the Las Cruces International Film Festival.”
