    16 adults, 4 children displaced after apartment complex fire in East El Paso

    EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) – Eight apartments were damaged, and 16 adults and four children were displaced early Monday morning, Aug. 19, after an East El Paso apartment complex caught fire, according to the El Paso Fire Department.

    The Fire Department says crews responded to reports of heavy smoke at the Celina Plaza Apartments on 8500 Viscount at around midnight.

    Officials took around 18 minutes to knock down the fire and eight apartments were affected. The Fire department says 16 adults and four children were displaced by the fire.

    The Fire Department says no injuries were reported and the Red Cross is assisting those who have been displaced.

    The Fire Marshal’s Office is initiating an investigation into the cause of the fire.
