    NMSU soccer takes down Big 10 opponent Oregon, 2-1

    EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – New Mexico State soccer collects its first power five conference victory after its win over Oregon, Thursday night.

    Ariana Leamons hits the right side of the side off the left foot to give the Aggies the lead with just under 30 to play in the first half. Two minutes later Oregon’s Haley McWhirter finds the back of the net for the equalizer.

    Before heading to the locker room for half time Brooke Schultz gave NMSU the lead once more, leading to the final score of 2-1.

    NMSU advances to an eleven-game regular season unbeaten streak, six-game unbeaten streak at home.

    Aggies will be back out on the pitch to close its four-game home stint on Saturday against Texas A&M Commerce at 7:00 p.m.
