UPDATE: Man with warrant killed in officer-involved shooting

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — A 39-year-old man is dead following an officer-involved shooting during an attempted arrest Friday afternoon, Aug. 23, in East El Paso, El Paso Police said.

The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. at Larry Wadkins and Vista Del Sol, police said.

Police said officers attempted to arrest the man, who had warrants for robbery.

The man brandished a weapon and officers responded by shooting the suspect, police said.

Police said the man the man has died. Three different investigations are being conducted about the shooting.
