WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — National Works Week takes place from May 19 to 25, and in honor of the event, the City of Williston Public Works is hosting its Public Outreach Day.

The theme of this year’s event is “Advancing Quality of Life for All”, and shining a spotlight on how public works professionals advance our quality of life — whether as first responders, waste pickup, or others who silently serve their communities.

The day is free and open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at the Williston Public Works (located at 1121 5th Street East). People who attend will get the chance to meet Public Works staff, explore the equipment up close, learn about projects and services, and leave with giveaways and snacks.

This year marks the 64th annual National Public Works Week, and the City of Williston has been celebrating since 2015, You can learn more about this year’s festivities here .
