BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A man who ran into trouble at a fast-food place was sentenced in court on Wednesday.

Police arrested George Demarrias after they said he pulled a gun on a customer at McDonald’s.

The incident happened in Bismarck in October last year when a man told police Demarrias asked him to buy him a Big Mac and a Happy Meal.

Police say the other man refused and told Demarrias to ‘get a job.’

On Wednesday, in a Burleigh County courtroom, Demarrias agreed to an amended guilty plea and was ordered to serve two years in prison as well as 18 months of probation. Demarrias has already spent 327 days in jail.

The judge also ordered Demarrias to complete anger management and a cognitive restructuring program.

The judge warned Demarrias that if he violated his probation, he would face up to five years behind bars.
