    What’s new at the Bismarck Art and Galleries Association?

    BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — Every month, the Bismarck Art and Galleries Association (BAGA) hosts new featured exhibits in their Main and Member Galleries. So what’s on display now?

    This article will be updated whenever new exhibits are announced, so be sure to check back later to learn about the latest in North Dakota’s artistic endeavors.


    Main Gallery: Denise Lajimodiere and Nelda Schrupp

    Denise is North Dakota’s Poet Laureate and a traditional Native American Jingle Dress dancer. She will be presenting both her poetry and her birch bark-biting artwork. Nelda, meanwhile, will be displaying her metal jewelry and shirt dresses.

    Member Gallery: Anthony Nelson

    Anthony is an artist from Bismarck, who primarily uses acrylics and gouache in his work,


    An opening reception for both exhibits will be held on Tuesday, September 3, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Baga’s 422 East Front Avenue location in Bismarck. A gallery chat will begin at 5:30 p.m.

    The exhibits will remain on display from September 3rd to the 27th, and are free for the public to attend. No entry fee is required.

    The BAGA building is open at the following times:

    • Tuesday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
