Part of Divide Avenue closing for road paving

BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A portion of a Bismarck road is closing later in the week while contractors pave the area.

According to the City of Bismarck, on Thursday, August 29, Divide Avenue will be closed between 11th Street and 4th Street while a contractor is paving the roadway. The closure will begin at 9:00 p.m.

A detour will be in place for westbound traffic — north on 11th Street to Capitol Avenue, then west on Capitol Avenue to 4th Street, and then south on 4th Street back to Divide Avenue.

An All-Way Stop will also be in place at 11th Street and Capitol Avenue, as well as 4th Street and Capitol Avenue during the closure.

The closure will remain in place until the end of Friday, August 30, after which it will be reopened to westbound traffic only.
