WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged multiple people for their alleged involvement in an aggravated kidnapping and assault case that happened July 3.

A 17-year-old male victim was shot and taken to an emergency room in Williamson County on July 3, with WCSO responding to the incident. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was released from the ER.

WCSO said the victim told detectives he was “lured to a residence” in the Summerlyn subdivision outside Leander’s city limits. Once there, the victim told detectives multiple adults attacked and beat him before the perpetrators took him to a deserted area and shot him.

WCSO identified the shooter as Matthew Sabedra, a 19-year-old Georgetown resident. The United States Marshals Office took him into custody on July 11 and he has since been charged with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

As of Monday night, Sabedra was still in the Williamson County Jail, facing a combined bond of $1 million, per WCSO.

WCSO detectives also arrested Danyelle Marsh, a 36-year-old Round Rock resident, and Nathaniel Walker, a 17-year-old Round Rock resident for their alleged involvement in the incident. Marsh is facing aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges, and is in the Williamson County Jail with a yet-to-be-determined bond amount.
