    Gonzaga lands commitment from Colgate transfer Braeden Smith

    SPOKANE, Wash. -- Gonzaga has added a player to the roster who may not play for another year.

    GU landed a commitment from Colgate guard Braeden Smith.

    Reports say Smith is expected to redshirt for the 2024-25 season, giving him two years with the Bulldogs starting in 2025-26.

    The Seattle native won the Patriot League Player of the Year and led Colgate to back-to-back NCAA Tournament.

    Smith led the conference in assists (5.6) and was top 10 in points per game (12.5).
