According to PPD, the woman was crossing the intersection of Beulah Avenue and Small Avenue, near the Colorado State Fair, and traffic was flowing in both directions. Vehicles on one side of the road stopped to let her pass, but the oncoming traffic did not stop and hit her at a low speed.

The mother was treated for minor injuries at the scene. PPD said it’s unclear how many children were with her, but everyone involved in the incident is expected to be OK.

According to PPD, the driver was cited for failing to yield.

PPD reminds those attending the fair or driving around the area to follow all traffic laws and keep an eye out for an increase in foot traffic.
