There's arguably something very special about a diner. They feel nostalgic, serve comfort food, and are often inexpensive.

Some may remember eating at diners with parents or grandparents, which contributes to warm feelings even more.

Floridians who want to experience a wonderful dining experience have plenty of choices such as Tampa's Trip Diner or Angel's Diner in Palatka.

However, neither of the above was named as one of the "best" diners in Florida by Love Food or serves their meals on steel plates so that you have the experience of the TV dinner.

About The Big Pink: Love Food actually chose two diners as Florida's favorite - Peter Pan Diner and the Big Pink. You can't miss the Big Pink. It's bubble gum-colored both inside and out and it has served the community for around 20 years.

The theme here is retro, and the menu includes no fewer than 200 items. It serves all meals - as it is open until midnight on weekdays until Wednesday and until 5:30 from Thursdays to Sundays.

It serves a wide variety of offerings. Just a few examples are 5-egg omelets, pizza, burgers, pasta, and blackened grouper.

However, its most popular offers are its TV dinners where you basically get the daily special - a meat item, sides, salad, and dessert.

Florida Feedback: There are over 7,000 reviews for the Big Pink on Google reviews, at an average of 4.3 out of 5 stars. Many Miami patrons comment on the massive portion sizes. Many marveled at the huge selection. Some took off stars because of the addition of an 18% gratuity.

A reviewer named Rick wrote, in part:

"Not your normal American diner. First of all, the menu is full of options. If you can't find what you want here, then you don't know what you want. From simple fare to something a little more complex. The atmosphere is definitely family...I enjoyed the turkey club sandwich, it was great. The bread was more thinly sliced than some but allowed the taste of the other ingredients to stand out. My wife had the big pink salad, and she found it refreshing - the dressing was in good proportion to the salad and not overpowering...It's well worth the price."
