Floridians who want a nice steak away from home have plenty of choices. There are independently owned steakhouses such as ChopHouse 13 and Prime-88, as just a few examples. However, Floridians who want something predictable might choose a chain such as LongHorn Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse, or Outback Steakhouse. And although one of these options - Outback Steakhouse - has previously closed some Florida stores this year, it is opening a new one in The Villages.

About Florida's Outback Steakhouse Closures: Many Floridians are aware that the parent company of Outback Steakhouse, Bloomin Brands, is based in Florida.

Even so, this didn't prevent Florida from losing multiple stores when Outback Steakhouse announced it was closing 41 "underperforming" stores in February of 2024.

As a result, Florida lost stores in cities like Jupiter, North Miami Beach, Orlando, and Sarasota. Still, Floridians are getting get a new Outback Steakhouse store in The Villages.

About The New Outback Steakhouse In The Villages: The new Outback Steakhouse store will be the first full-service restaurant serving dinner at Trailwinds Village along County Road 466A. Construction began in June of 2024.

The shopping center will also feature a Crumbl and Mattress Warehouse. The Villages already has one Outback Steakhouse on US-441.

That existing location has been reviewed over 2,200 times and earns 4.3 stars on Google reviews. Interestingly enough, most reviewers focus as much on the excellent service as they do the solid food.

    A reviewer named Renee wrote:

"Our server Nelson was awesome! Very quick with our appetizers and meals. He is always very pleasant and has a great smile. Always a pleasure to dine here! Food is excellent and cooked to perfection every time."
