New Publix Prototype Store With Food Court, Wine and Beer Bar, And Pizza Station Goes Viral

Floridians know that Publix is often in the news in the Sunshine State. The grocer got its start in central Florida and there are a whopping 887 stores in the state so many Floridians have access to one. And Floridians in some markets have access to new Publix stores which have been described as bolder "prototype." One of these new prototype stores - in Tampa - has gone viral for its amenities.

Information About The Publix In Question: According to reporting by Miami New Times in late July of 2023, the 60,000 square foot Publix at the Gandy Shopping Center has gone viral on social media because of its amenities like a burrito bar, wine and beer bar, sushi bar, poke bowl bar, smoothie bar, coffee bar, and pizza and popcorn station.

Florida Feedback: This Publix has been well-received, earning 4.6 out of 5 stars. As you might suspect, many mention the store's amenities, although a few mention long wait times at the deli. A reviewer named Jolanta wrote:

"Heaven descended into the earth and gave us this newly opened Publix that has a sushi station, pizza, pasta, a hot foods bar, a cafe that also serves wine and craft beers, and outdoor and indoor seating. It's everything you would want in a store and more. This is peak adulting to be this excited about a store. You will not be disappointed!"

Rumors Of New Prototype Stores: The Miami New Times writes that there may be two new prototype stores coming to the Miami area - one near the Falls Mall in Kendall and another in Coral Gables.
