Big Lots' Website Now Shows More FL Stores As "Closing This Location" - Now 26 & Offering Sales

If you live in Florida, you know that some large discount retailers have had recent financial difficulties and closures. I've written about Florida losing some Family Dollar locations and some Big Lots stores. And now, Big Lots has recently marked additional stores as "closing this location" on its website.

Big Lots admitted "significant doubts" in its ability to go forward as a company in late June of 2024. And in mid-July, Big Lots indicated that it intended to close 35-40 stores this year.

However, it now appears that more than 40 stores are closing. MassLive.com analyzed Big Lot's website and found that, in actuality, 300 stores are listed as "closing this location." Below are the stores in Florida that are listed that way:
