A Leesburg woman was arrested for allegedly biting the ear of her mentally disabled brother and the finger of a tenant who defended him. An officer responded to a disturbance and possible battery wherein 56-year-old Maria Luisa Quinones was causing a disturbance with her roommate and tenant, the complainant, at an undisclosed Lake County residence around 9:40 p.m. Monday, June 24, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Lake County meth trafficker sentenced to 20 years in state prison
A Leesburg man was sentenced to 20 years this week after being found guilty of drug trafficking in a 2022 case. Monday, in the Honorable Judge Cary F. Rada’s courtroom, 34-year-old James Lewis Hodge III was adjudicated guilty on trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. Hodge’s charges stem from his 2022 arrest. He was sentenced to 20 years in the Florida Department of Corrections on the drug trafficking charge.
