NEXT 24 HRS: Another round of thunderstorms is expected after 10 pm, sagging southeastward past midnight. This line departs the region after 2 or 3 am. The main threat with these thunderstorms will be damaging wind gusts. Cloud cover slowly decreases after midnight from north to south with temperatures falling into the 60s.

LOOKING AHEAD: The cold front responsible for all the thunderstorm activity digs south through the area on Thursday, resulting in a narrow line of light rain, mainly along or south of I-90. More sun and less cloud cover is expected north of I-94. Seasonable conditions return on Friday with plenty of sunshine before another round or rounds of showers, and thunderstorms return to the region late Saturday and Sunday. It's too early to pinpoint when the best rain chances or severe weather chances exist. A warm, humid, and unstable airmass will reside over the area for at least the first half of next week, resulting in daily showers and thunderstorm chances and high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Overall, rain chances are slightly higher for the first half of the work week than for the last.
