Above-average temperatures and humidity return to the forecast

WH AT WE ARE TRACKING: Much of the area will start to feel a warm-up tracking into this weekend. Rain chances remain for Sunday evening and most of Monday. This will be followed up with above-average temperatures and humid conditions for most of the week.

NEXT 24 HRS: Friday looks to be our last day in the low-80s for most of the upcoming week. Sunny skies wi ll stick around as we transition into the evening hours. Pleasant conditions are expected tonigh t with winds around 10 mph. Overnight lows will dip into the low-60s for one more night before we stay in the low-70s for most of the upcoming overnight periods. Saturday will hold our first taste of warmer weather with sunny skies and highs rising into the upper- 80s.

LOOKING AHEAD: For Sunday and Monday, highs will linger near or slightly above- average (mid-80s) with extra cloud coverage provided by rain chances . Sunday a chance of showers in the late afternoon and evening hours. This will transition into thunderstorms in the late evening and overnight hours. Thunderstorm and shower chances co ntinue for most on Monday. T he warmest portion of next week will be from Tuesday through Thursday with highs nearing 90. Dew points are expected to reach the low-70s at times, making the “f eels like” temperatures jump into the mid-90s at times. Some chances for additional showers will be sprinkled throughout the week with both Wednesday and Thursday displaying a 20-30% chance of rain.
