    Mariposa man accused of arson after 6 escape from house fire

    MARIPOSA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man from Mariposa was arrested on suspicion of homicide following a fire at a home in La Grange with six people still inside, according to Cal Fire.

    State fire investigators say 25-year-old Henry Castro Manzano was arrested on Monday in Mariposa County after he was identified as the person who started a structure fire in the Banderilla Drive area of La Grange in Stanislaus County.

    Investigators say the fire was started at a home while six people were inside – but all were safely evacuated from the building with no injuries.

    Manzano was arrested on suspicion of felony arson and attempted homicide charges.
