Park Ranger Eric Graves to Present “Cutoffs: More Than a Fashion Statement” at Scotts Bluff National Monument
Join Park Ranger Eric Graves in the amphitheater behind the Scotts Bluff National Monument visitor center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5th for a talk about overland trail cutoffs. Some of these cutoffs saved time or brought the traveler to superior grazing or water. Others proved to be a disaster by delaying emigrants with rough terrain or leading them away from water and grazing. In Scotts Bluff National Monument, we have a cut-off, Mitchell Pass. In the event of inclement weather, the program will move inside to the visitor center theater.
