Juveniles missing after Ladson welfare check were located safe in New Jersey, deputies say

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C (WCBD) – Authorities are searching for two children after a woman was found dead during a welfare check in Ladson.

Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to an address on Highway 78 around 4 p.m. after the New Jersey State Police requested a welfare check.

A woman was found dead at the scene.

“ It was determined that the deceased female had two children, who are currently unaccounted for, Dillon Racancoj (4) and Kenneth Racancoj (9),” the sheriff’s office said.

The relationship between the juveniles and deceased woman was not provided.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensic Services Unit is investigating.
