( KLFY ) — Warm, humid, and mostly quiet weather in Acadiana this Tuesday morning. Heavy showers and storms are expected mid-day and throughout the afternoon. Rain chances will increase to 70%, which is higher compared to the last few days. Heavy rains are possible but the flash flooding threat remains low and localized for our area. The clouds and rain will keep temperatures in the 80s and below normal for late July.

Rain chances look even higher on Wednesday and Thursday as they will run closer to 80% within Acadiana. Western parts of the area could receive over 5″ inches of rain over the next few days. This active pattern tried to break this weekend but scattered activity remains a possibility.
