Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Announces Historic Gift from Andrea and Anthony Melchiorre to Support New Cancer Center
(BPT) - Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, has received a visionary gift of $30 million from Andrea and Anthony Melchiorre to support the new multidisciplinary standalone cancer center now under construction on the hospital campus in Livingston, New Jersey. The Melchiorre Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center will open in 2025.

Paterson Man Charged with Murder in Jersey City Shooting
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ - A Paterson man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Jersey City on Friday, May 10. According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Makiyy Randolph, 21, is also charged with Felony Murder, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Randolph was arrested on Friday, July 12, on Gates Avenue in Jersey City after a brief foot pursuit. Two teenagers, a 14-year-old female and a 16-year-old male are charged as juveniles with the same crimes in connection to the incident. As previously reported, shortly before 10:00 p.m. on the day of the incident, the Jersey City Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue. Responding officers located a male victim – later identified as Resheed Wallace, 24, of Jersey City – with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.
