Robert Louis Mikkelson
He was born in Phillipsburg on March 25, 1949 to Charles and Dorothy (Everett) Mikkelson. He was a sales representative for Blairstown Distributors, in Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania. He proudly served honorably in the US Army in Panama. His family was always his number one priority, his children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He loved being called Pappy by his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and always wore his favorite lucky purple converse shoes, that always brought him good luck.

I'm going to keep saying this over and over again, I'm a big fan of the 'Real Housewives' and in particular the "Real Housewives of New Jersey'. I have been rewatching some of the older episodes and one guy on the show always stood out as a nice guy and someone who had their you know what together. Any guesses?

I want to congratulate our Chatham Township Police Department on receiving their 3rd reaccreditation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police. I look forward to the meeting when Association members will attend and we can officially recognize this wonderful accomplishment. I’d like to also congratulation three officers who were recognized. Detective Mike Bloom for his investigation of a Financial Crime; Officer Sean Lampf for his actions and investigation of a motor vehicle accident involving a cyclist; Officer Colm Dougherty for his actions during an encounter with a male experiencing a mental health crisis. Well done. Thank you for all you do for our Township residents.
UPDATED: 10,000th blood donation to be celebrated Saturday
New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) will host a blood drive from 7:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at the Saint Kateri Parish, 427 Stanhope Ave., Sparta. The drive will celebrate the parish’s 10,000th blood donation since it began hosting blood drives with NJBS more than two decades ago.

It’s rare for a center to be a 3-point sharpshooter unless you are Stefanie Dolson. Dolson, a Minisink Valley graduate, will be part of the WNBA All-Star festivities on Friday night at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, competing in the three-point shooting contest. The former University of Connecticut star leads the WNBA in three-point shooting percentage at 48.5 percent (49-of-101 shot attempts) among all players who attempted at least 50 three-point shots this season.
